Margaret Virginia Barnett was born May 5, 1930 in Alton, Virginia to Alexander and Virginia (Walker) Barnett. She was one of eight children. She attended Lawson Chapel School. She lived in South Boston, Virginia and worked as a pressor before moving to Morristown, NJ.
She worked as a presser at Golden Cleaners in Whippany, NJ for 10 years before retiring at Liberty Cleaners in Summit, NJ.
She was a member of Tabernacle of Faith Family Church with founder Bishop Joseph Woods and Pastor Barry Brown. She was Mother of the Church and Usher. She was a member in the choir where she loved to sing!
She is predeceased by her parents Alexander and Virginia Barnett. Four sisters Joycie Barnett, Amanda Lindsey, Helen Featherstone, Fannie Barnett and two brothers Rufus and Alexander.
She loved playing cards and playing bingo!!!
She is survived by one sister Rebecca Edwards and her brother in law John Edwards and a host of nieces and nephews whom she loved very much.
She was a loving Godmother to Kareem Lindsey
She is also survived by her best friend Wilma Ellen De Laine.
